VTT - Bread Box

Another one of my finds while junking/anitquing with my cousin Lori...

My vintage bread box.

I love this item, because it is both vintigie cute and functional. I use to to store my bread - as I guess you would imagine since it is a bread box...

but also to store various other small things I like to keep handy in the kitchen. Glue, envelopes, thank you notes, a few sewing supplies for quick fixes, etc...

I also love how it fits in just right on my countertop below my cabinets. The cabinets in my kitchen were all built right into the home and are longer than standard ones so there is not much space between my cabinets and the counter top (the down side of that is that they can't be easily removed - as we thought of doing when we redid the kitchen a few years back - short of gutting the whole space, we just painted them. But I digress...)

Wow, that is really amazing with all those little drawers. Do you have any idea where/what era it is from originally?

I have no idea what era it came from. My guess is the 40's, but just a guess. I too love all the drawers!

Love that unique breadbox! It's practically it's own pantry :) Great for organizing too.
